MySites

www.mysites.com is a website that promises a great deal. It claims to offer one password site for blogs, media streaming, webpages, storage and chat, all for free.

It all sounds wonderful, however the user interface seems to be lacking. It was possible to add a background colour, however there was no discernable way to add text to the webpage. The same applied to the blog utility. There was a help link, and that revealed a pop-up box which was blank. An attempt was made to construct a webpage in both Internet Explorer and Firefox, but to no avail. The website owners were emailed with a request for assistance but so far there has been no response.

Perhaps someone else will have more luck.

Hello Judy,

Thanks for your coverage!

I'm the founder of MySites.

It's a shame you were confused by the UI. We're working on lots of changes now, but I'd like to hear more details from you so we can make it nicer for you too :)

You seem to refer mostly to the page creation tool. I agree it is confusing, which after all, should be expected from a alpha product.

Today, we removed the "My Website" tab, so new users won't get confused by it anymore, until it's more polished.

Did you get to try our other, much more finished services, such as pictures, movies, music, blog, etc?

These should be very easy to use.

Also, I'm not sure where you have emailed. We did not see anything.

Currently, 3 ways of sending feedback easily:

1) Msg on Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=11185619106

2) Msg me on MySites: buddy name: rameen

3) Msg me on Facebook: Ramine Darabiha

We’re also working on a forum for MySites :)

I appreciate your spending time to test it!
Please, do message me if you have any suggestions of things you would like to see added on the site.

Cheers,
Ramine
